Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Health and Social Care lessons to students
  • Create and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and educational experience
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievements
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Health and Social Care
  • Degree in Health and Social Care or related field
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and teaching standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Degree in Health and Social Care or related field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching Health and Social Care subjects

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of health and social care principles and practises
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Health and Social Care
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school environment, following school hours and term dates. Some additional hours may be required for lesson planning and assessment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
