Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Geography to students
- Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing feedback and support where necessary
- Create engaging and innovative lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the curriculum and improve teaching practises
- Participate in school events and parent-teacher meetings as required
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Geography or a related field
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography education
Education:
Degree in Geography or a related field
Experience:
Previous experience teaching Geography at secondary school level
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Strong classroom management skills
- Understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Geography
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Geography as a specialism
- Additional training or qualifications related to Geography education
Working Conditions:
The role involves working full-time hours in a secondary school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. Occasional participation in extracurricular activities and events may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
