Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and informative food technology lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Food Technology or related field
  • Experience teaching food technology at secondary school level

Previous experience teaching food technology at secondary school level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of food technology principles and practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience with exam board specifications

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a secondary school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. Full-time hours are expected, with occasional participation in extracurricular activities and events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
