Job Title: Qualified Drama Teacher

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum based on educational guidelines
  • Assess students' performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Organise and participate in school productions and events
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the drama department

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or related field
  • Experience teaching drama to students of varying ages

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching drama in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of drama education principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Organisational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Drama
  • Experience in directing school productions

Working Conditions:

The role involves working within a school environment, collaborating with students, parents, and other teaching staff. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend commitments for school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
