Psychology Graduate? Let’s help you to get ahead after all that study.....

Pay: £90–£106 per day
(Depends on your experience and qualifications, of course)
Location: West & North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP (once checks are cleared)

You’ve studied hard, now let’s put that Psychology degree to work—literally.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to support young people outside of mainstream education—this is your chance. Think PRUs (Pupil Referral Units), SEMH schools, and alternative settings where every day is different, every breakthrough is big, and your presence really matters.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Many of these roles turn into permanent positions.
Great hands-on experience if you’re thinking about a career in education, clinical or Ed. psych, even youth work.
Build a portfolio that actually helps you land the dream job—not just pad out your CV.

We’re looking for grads who are:

  • Already living locally (and ready to start once compliance checks are done)

  • Adaptable, curious, and genuinely care about helping young people thrive

  • Up for a challenge—and a proper laugh along the way

Bonus points if you have experience or interest in:

✔️ Youth work (paid or voluntary)
✔️ Drama, sport or psychology backgrounds
✔️ SEND or SEMH (even a little goes a long way!)
✔️ Residential care or mentoring
✔️ 1:1 tutoring in English, Maths, or Science
✔️ Team Teach or any de-escalation training (or open to getting trained with us!)

Real Talk: This is not your average classroom.

You’ll be working with students who’ve faced big challenges and need someone calm, kind, and consistent. You’ll be part of a team that’s there to lift them up, not just tick boxes.

Our graduates have gone on to become PE teachers, psychologists, SEND specialists—you name it. And we’ll be in your corner every step of the way.

What Protocol Education brings to the table:

✅ Weekly PAYE pay (no umbrella faff)
✅ Free online CPD (professional development you’ll actually use)
✅ Personal consultant support (a real human, not a chatbot and someone who's worked in education!)
✅ Fast-track registration and school matches in your area
✅ A team that really gets it—we’ve done this for years, and we love it

You’ll need:

  • A DBS on the update service (or be willing to get one)

  • Two professional references from the last five years

  • A CV that covers your last 10 years (or as many as you've got!)
