Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEND

Got a psychology degree and a passion for making a real difference? This is your chance to turn theory into impact.

We’re working with a fantastic SEND school in Bexley that’s on the lookout for calm, compassionate, and switched-on Psychology Graduates to support students with special educational needs—many of whom need help with emotional regulation, communication, and confidence.

Whether you're heading towards educational psychology, mental health, or teaching, this is hands-on experience that genuinely matters.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them stay focused, calm, and engaged in learning.
  • Using your understanding of behaviour, trauma, and emotional needs to build supportive relationships.
  • Helping implement strategies from therapists, SENCOs, and class teachers.
  • Creating a safe space where students feel seen, understood, and supported.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Psychology graduate (or someone with a strong psychology background) looking to gain school-based experience.
  • Empathy, patience, and a real interest in behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Experience working with young people in any setting—schools, clubs, care, youth work—is a big plus.
  • Thrive training? Brilliant. If not, we’ll train you up for free!

What You’ll Get:

  • Full-time, long-term role in a well-supported SEND setting.
  • Weekly PAYE pay—no umbrella deductions.
  • FREE Thrive training and access to CPD to build your skillset.
  • A friendly consultant who knows Bromley schools and is here to support you.

Why It’s Worth It:

This isn’t just a job—it’s experience that shapes careers. You’ll gain insight, make meaningful connections, and help students take steps—big and small—towards their goals.
