We’re looking for graduates who want to take their understanding of behaviour, learning, and mental health into the classroom. This is a brilliant way to gain hands-on experience in schools – perfect if you’re thinking about a future career in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, or mental health support.

You’ll be working in secondary schools across Newcastle, supporting pupils who need a bit of extra help with focus, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them stay engaged in lessons

  • Assisting teachers with behaviour management and classroom routines

  • Using your psychology knowledge to understand and respond to different needs

  • Building positive relationships that make a real difference day to day

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree in psychology (or related subject)

  • Someone who’s patient, empathetic and confident around young people

  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

  • A genuine interest in education, SEN, or mental health
