Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Temporary Classroom Teacher to join our team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of our pupils, support their progress, and maintain the school’s ethos and values. The successful candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and committed to fostering a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Experience working in primary education is preferred but not essential for strong candidates.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds.

  • Ensuring that personal beliefs are not expressed in ways which exploit pupils’ vulnerability or might lead them to break the law.
  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
  • Demonstrate good subjects and curriculum knowledge.
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons.
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils.
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • Manage behavior effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities.

To support the social, moral, spiritual, and cultural development of pupils in their class.

Literacy and Numeracy

To support pupils in developing and ‘applying a wide range of skills to great effect, in reading, writing, communication and learning’.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
