EYFS Teacher – Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join our welcoming school community in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture children aged 3–5, laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning.

In our EYFS setting, you’ll be more than just a teacher — you’ll be a role model, guide, and cheerleader for every child’s individual journey. You’ll plan and deliver a curriculum that blends structured learning with play-based exploration, ensuring children are supported to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively.

About the role
As an EYFS Teacher, you will:

  • Lead the learning in your classroom, creating a rich and varied curriculum in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Develop stimulating, themed learning environments that change regularly to inspire curiosity and creativity.

  • Integrate storytelling, outdoor learning, music, art, and hands-on activities into your teaching to engage all learners.

  • Support children in developing key early skills such as phonics, number sense, fine and gross motor skills, and positive social interactions.

  • Use regular observations and assessments to track progress, identify needs, and tailor learning experiences for individuals and groups.

  • Work closely with teaching assistants to ensure all children receive high-quality support.

  • Partner with parents through regular updates, workshops, and open-door communication, recognising them as key partners in their child’s learning journey.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and with external agencies when needed to ensure every child has the right support.

What we’re looking for

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent early years qualification.

  • Demonstrated experience in an EYFS setting with a strong grasp of the EYFS framework.

  • Ability to create engaging, imaginative lessons that balance academic and personal development.

  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and a collaborative spirit.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practice.

  • A genuine love for early childhood education and an understanding of the difference a positive early start can make.

Why join us?

  • Supportive and friendly school community

  • Professional development opportunities to help you grow as an educator

  • Well-resourced EYFS setting with opportunities for outdoor and creative learning

  • A chance to make a real, lasting impact on children’s lives during their most formative years
