Protocol Education is working with a number of welcoming and well-supported primary schools in and around Shrewsbury, Shropshire, to recruit enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Teachers for a range of flexible supply roles.

Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or a recently qualified Early Career Teacher (ECT), we are looking for passionate individuals ready to make a difference—whether it’s for a single day, a short-term placement, or a longer-term opportunity.


About the Role:

  • Teach across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2 depending on your experience and preference

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that support pupils of all abilities

  • Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment

  • Use effective behaviour management strategies

  • Adapt quickly to new settings, routines, and pupil needs

  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and school policies at all times


Role Details:

  • Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire and surrounding areas

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract Type: Full-time, part-time, or flexible day-to-day supply

  • Pay: £120 – £190 per day (dependent on experience and assignment type)


What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs/NQTs are very welcome

  • Classroom experience across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 (school placements count)

  • Confident behaviour management with a calm and nurturing approach

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and safeguarding requirements

  • A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to contribute to school life

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
