Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to primary school students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes student participation and engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development and training sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Relevant degree in Education or related field
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching primary school students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using educational technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

The Primary Teacher will work in a classroom setting within a primary school in Orpington, Greater London. The role involves working full-time hours on a contract basis, with regular school hours and term-time working schedule.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
