Are you a qualified Primary School Teacher who is looking for flexible yet reliable and consistent work?

Protocol Education are working with a range of schools in Westminster who require short-term support on a daily basis.

We are looking for teachers who make the most of every lesson and build strong relationships with schools and classes in a short-period of time.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging lessons to primary school students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
  • Follow the provided lesson plans and ensure effective classroom management
  • Provide instruction across various subjects, including English, mathematics, science, and humanities
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and other forms of assessment
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to ensure continuity in students' education
  • Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student performance and behaviour
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working as a primary school teacher
  • Excellent knowledge of the primary school curriculum
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments
  • Organisational and time management abilities

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a primary school teacher

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of primary school teaching methods and strategies
  • Familiarity with current educational technology and resources
  • Knowledge of assessment and evaluation techniques
  • Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Specialisation in a specific subject area
  • Experience working as a supply teacher
  • Experience with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

The Primary School Supply Teacher will work in primary school settings in Westminster, Greater London. The role requires being available for full-time work on a contracted basis. The teacher will follow the regular school hours and academic calendar. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
