PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

A highly regarded school in Ealing is seeking a committed PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a real difference to the lives of young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
The Opportunity:
In this role, you will work closely with students who require a high level of care and tailored educational support. Your day will involve a mix of classroom assistance, personal care support, and therapeutic activities designed to promote engagement, independence, and well-being.
Your Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs

Assisting with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and mobility

Encouraging communication and interaction through sensory activities and specialist resources

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care

Observing, recording, and reporting on student progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and meetings

Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where every student can thrive
What We’re Looking For:

Prior experience supporting children or young adults with PMLD or complex medical needs is desirable

A compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach to support

Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Relevant qualifications (such as CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent) are an advantage but not essential

A willingness to develop specialist skills through ongoing training and professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
