We’re working with a fantastic specialist setting in Gateshead, known for its nurturing environment and dedicated support for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). They’re looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils with complex needs, both one-to-one and in small groups

Assisting with personal care, communication, and sensory activities

Helping to create an environment that supports emotional wellbeing and meaningful learning

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and specialist staff
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience with PMLD, SEND, or personal care (or is eager to learn)

Brings a calm, caring approach and genuine enthusiasm for supporting children

Is confident supporting personal care and using specialist resources
-
Can commit to a full-time role from September

Is Thrive trained (or keen to complete this free with Protocol Education)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
