We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Phonics Teacher to join our team and support primary pupils across Wakefield. Whether you’re an expert in synthetic phonics, Letters and Sounds, or Read Write Inc., we’ve got schools that need your skills to boost reading confidence and early literacy.

You’ll work with local primary schools who value structured early years support, delivering phonics sessions that help little learners unlock the joy of reading. From daily supply to long-term roles, we’ll find a setup that suits your style and schedule.

What we’re looking for:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✅ Experience teaching phonics in EYFS, KS1 or intervention groups
✅ Confident with planning and delivering targeted phonics support
✅ A nurturing, engaging approach that brings phonics to life
✅ Strong classroom presence and flexible attitude

Even better if you have:
⭐ Read Write Inc., Jolly Phonics or Letters and Sounds training
⭐ Experience supporting EAL or SEND learners with phonics
⭐ A Thrive qualification (or interest in completing one—we offer this free!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
