Job Title: KS1 Phonics Teaching Assistant

Salary: £8–£110 per day
Contract: Part-time, Term-Time Only

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 with early reading and phonics interventions

Running small-group and 1:1 sessions using Letters and Sounds or Little Wandle

Helping children grow in confidence and fluency

Working closely with class teachers to track progress and celebrate wins

Contributing to a warm, well-organised KS1 team
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children with phonics or early reading

A kind, patient attitude and the confidence to lead sessions independently

Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping young learners

Bonus if you’ve used phonics schemes in a school setting
