A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham is seeking a passionate and dynamic PE Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting this September. This is an excellent opportunity to join a school that values holistic development, physical wellbeing, and a strong sporting ethos.
The ideal candidate will be confident delivering PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to inspire students of all abilities to enjoy sport, stay active, and develop healthy habits for life.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum

Teaching a range of sports and physical activities, both indoor and outdoor

Preparing students for practical and written assessments at KS4, including GCSE PE
-
Promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience through extracurricular clubs and competitions

Managing equipment and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students

Supporting whole-school wellbeing initiatives and sports enrichment activities
You Will Be a Great Fit If You:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification

Have experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school setting

Are committed to student development through physical activity and healthy living

Can deliver a broad and balanced PE curriculum to engage learners of varying abilities

Are energetic, proactive, and enthusiastic about extra-curricular sport and fitness
-
Can maintain high standards of behaviour and motivation in both practical and theory lessons
