We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Barnet who are on the lookout for a brilliant Pastoral Support Officer to support their KS4 students—those tricky but brilliant final years.

Your job? Be the calm, consistent presence who’s there when things get tough. Someone who gets what pupils are going through, listens without judgement, and helps guide them back on track.

You'll be:

  • Supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance of KS4 students

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to tackle barriers to learning

  • Liaising with SLT, parents, and external agencies to keep pupils supported

  • Helping create a safe, structured, and positive school environment


We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young peopel in or out of school settings

  • Understands behaviour support and can stay cool under pressue

  • Can work independently but knows when to flag things

  • Has a kind but clear communication style - and a good sense of humor helps!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
