Pastoral Mentor
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £110–£140 per day

We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Newcastle that places a big emphasis on pastoral care, wellbeing, and giving students the support they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Your day-to-day will include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring for pupils who need extra support

Working closely with teachers, pastoral leads, and parents to keep students engaged

Supporting behaviour management strategies and helping pupils develop resilience

Celebrating progress and being a positive role model
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience working with young people (school, youth work, coaching, or community roles)

Can listen, empathise, and build strong relationships
-
Has resilience, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
