We’re seeking a patient, kind and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a non-verbal nursery-aged child with Autism in a warm, inclusive primary school in Birmingham’s B12 area.

This is a long-term supply role and offers the chance to build a strong, consistent relationship with a child who benefits from calm support and reliable routines.


About the Child:

  • Nursery-aged
  • Non-verbal and Autistic
  • No behavioural concerns
  • Needs gentle encouragement and close 1:1 support during morning sessions

✅ Ideal Candidate:

✔️ Experience working with children with Autism or in an early years SEN setting
✔️ Calm, consistent and nurturing in approach
✔️ Able to communicate clearly and patiently
✔️ A team player who understands the importance of early intervention
✔️ Reliable and punctual for short, structured sessions
