About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated One-to-One Support Assistant to provide tailored support to a pupil with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s learning and development by helping them access education in a supportive and structured way.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to a designated pupil throughout the school day

Implement strategies as directed by the class teacher and SENCO to meet the pupil’s individual needs

Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and social interaction
-
Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in the classroom

Keep accurate notes and contribute to regular reviews of the pupil’s progress
-
Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil to help them feel safe and included

Experience working with children, ideally with SEND or behaviour needs

A patient, calm, and empathetic nature

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to adapt to changing needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
