Job Title: One-to-One Music Tutor

Salary: £25–£35 per hour (depending on experience)

We’re looking for a passionate Music Tutor to deliver one-to-one sessions with pupils across a range of ages and abilities in Middlesbrough. Whether you’re a qualified music teacher or an experienced instrumental tutor, this is a chance to help students build confidence, expression, and technical skills—one note at a time.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering tailored one-to-one music lessons (instrumental or vocal)
- Supporting students working towards graded exams, school performances or simply building musical confidence
- Adapting lessons to suit different needs, levels, and learning styles
- Collaborating with school staff and/or parents for progress feedback
- Inspiring young people to connect with music in a meaningful way
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You’re confident teaching or tutoring music in one-to-one settings
- You’ve got experience with piano, guitar, voice, or other popular instruments
- You hold a teaching qualification or relevant music certifications (ABRSM, Rockschool, etc.)
- You’re patient, encouraging, and creative in your approach
- You’re reliable, DBS-checked (or willing to obtain one), and ready to make an impact

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
