Midday Assistant

Location: Chigwell, Essex

Role Details

  • Hours: Part-time, during lunchtime hours (exact timings to be confirmed).
  • Contract: Term-time only.
  • Salary: Competitive and based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support pupils during lunch breaks, both in the dining hall ️ and outdoor areas .
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment.
  • Assist with feeding, personal care, and mobility where necessary.
  • Foster positive interactions and encourage social development.
  • Respond effectively to the needs of pupils with varying abilities and challenges, including emotional and behavioural support.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is patient, caring, and committed to supporting children with SEN.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can remain calm and proactive in a busy environment.
  • Is reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
