We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Midday Supervisor to join our team and play a crucial role in creating a secure and nurturing lunchtime experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise Pupils with Care: Your primary duty will be to supervise pupils during the midday break, ensuring their safety and general conduct in accordance with the school's policies and procedures.

  2. Promote Appropriate Behavior: Establish safe and appropriate behavior by effectively intervening when needed or referring to senior staff for support.

  3. Manage Pupil Movement: Supervise the movement of pupils to and from dining areas, including addressing any personal hygiene requirements.

  4. Maintain Order: Maintain good order in dining areas to create a positive and respectful environment.

  5. Assist with Meals: Provide assistance to pupils in collecting food and returning trays or other items to the service counter.

  6. Support Mealtime Etiquette: Help pupils with the proper use of cutlery, drinking facilities, and other aspects of the midday meal.

  7. Ensure Cleanliness: Assist in the clearance of any spillages and maintain cleanliness by wiping down, clearing, or resetting tables as needed.

  8. Set Up and Removal: Support in setting up and removing furniture as required to ensure a functional lunchtime space.

  9. First Aid: Be prepared to take immediate action in cases of sickness or accidents by carrying out minor first aid and calling for relevant assistance.

  10. Security Awareness: Report any unauthorised visitors on school premises to maintain a secure environment.

  11. Documentation: Complete necessary documentation related to incidents during the lunchtime break and participate in review meetings as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
