We’re working with a welcoming and community-focused secondary school in Shrewsbury looking for a dedicated MFL Teacher to join their team this September. The role will involve teaching French and/or Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE classes.

This school places just as much value on kindness, connection and curiosity as it does on academic results. With a strong emphasis on building positive relationships—with students, parents and the wider community—it’s a place where every lesson is part of a bigger picture.

What you’ll find here:

  • A full-time, long-term role with the scope to make real impact

  • A timetable with variety across year groups and abilities

  • A supportive MFL department that shares resources and good ideas

  • Space to be creative and challenge your students to think beyond the textbook

What makes this school different:

  • A genuine commitment to working in partnership with families and the community

  • Teachers who are trusted to teach, and supported to develop

  • A curriculum designed to stretch students and build confidence—whatever their background

  • A warm and respectful school culture that puts student wellbeing front and centre

Who we’re looking for:

  • A qualified MFL teacher (QTS or equivalent)

  • Someone confident teaching French, Spanish, or both to KS3 and KS4

  • An educator who can spark curiosity and make languages come alive

  • Someone who values communication, collaboration, and a bit of classroom flair
