About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Mental Health Support Worker to join our dedicated team working within SEND schools. You will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group emotional and mental health support to students.

  • Work alongside teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement tailored strategies.

  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour.

  • Assist in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).

  • Support the delivery of social and emotional learning activities and interventions.

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND and/or mental health needs.

  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to challenging behaviour.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child development.

  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Relevant qualifications in mental health, youth work, counselling, or education are highly desirable.
