About the Role

Equations, fractions, and quadratic graphs might not excite everyone—but they do excite you. As a Maths Teacher in a Newcastle secondary school, you’ll bring numbers to life, spark lightbulb moments, and show pupils that maths is more than just exams—it’s the key to understanding the world.

This is a full-time role where you’ll be part of the school community, planning and delivering engaging lessons, and supporting pupils of all abilities to succeed.

What You’ll Do

  • Teach engaging and accessible maths lessons across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 if you’d like)

  • Plan, mark, and assess with the support of a strong department

  • Inspire pupils to build confidence in their maths skills

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in Secondary Maths (or equivalent)

  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom presence

  • Ability to motivate and engage teenagers in maths

  • Commitment to consistency—you’ll be a full-time member of the teaching team
