About the Role:
We are currently recruiting a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys making a positive difference to children's daily lives.
The role involves supervising and assisting pupils during their lunchtime break, ensuring they are safe, supported, and engaged. You will work closely with children who have a variety of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise pupils in the dining area, playground, and around the school during lunch breaks.

Encourage inclusive and positive social interaction between pupils.

Support with feeding and mobility needs, following individual care plans.

Promote and support good behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Respond appropriately to medical or behavioural incidents and report concerns promptly.

Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to maintain a consistent and caring approach.
What We’re Looking For:

A patient, caring, and dependable individual with a genuine interest in supporting children with SEND.

Previous experience in an educational or care setting is advantageous, but not essential full training will be provided.

Good communication skills and the ability to stay calm in a busy environment.

A strong team player with a flexible, proactive approach.

An understanding of safeguarding and child protection, or a willingness to learn.
