Learning Support Assistant – Autism Specialist

Pay: £13.75–£14.50 per hour

Pupils with autism often need consistency, understanding, and people who get it. That’s where you come in.
We’re placing LSAs with autism experience into schools that value insight over intensity, and calm over control. These roles are ideal for those with experience in specialist settings, or in mainstream schools supporting EHCPs.
Your day might include:

Supporting a pupil 1:1 with routines, transitions, and sensory strategies

Adapting classroom activities and managing expectations

Helping create an environment where neurodiverse pupils can thrive

Liaising with teachers, SENCos, and families to support learning and development
The right fit will:

Have autism-related experience (in or out of school)

Be reliable, reflective, and emotionally resilient

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
