Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant – Shropshire

A welcoming and inclusive SEND school in Shropshire is seeking a committed and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school prides itself on creating a supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about working with children with additional needs and wants to make a real difference in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND
- Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised and engaging learning activities
- Help create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Adapt resources and approaches to suit individual learning needs
- Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to teaching staff
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
- Uphold safeguarding practices and promote pupil wellbeing at all times
About You:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in an SEND setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with pupils
- Flexible and confident in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within a school setting
