We’re looking for a confident, qualified TA (Level 3 or equivalent) to join a welcoming primary school in Gateshead this September. It’s a full-time, long-term role working across KS1 or KS2, depending on your strengths and experience.
You’ll be trusted to take initiative, lead small groups, and step in when the class teacher needs an extra pair of hands—or eyes, or patience. This school values support staff and makes sure you’re part of the team, not just in the room.
What you'll be doing:

Providing targeted group and 1:1 support

Helping with planning and assessment

Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
What we’re looking for:

Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)

Recent school-based experience

Confident with phonics, interventions, or early reading

Proactive, reliable, and ready to get stuck in
