Location: Wakefield
Salary: £83–£95 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025
You know that spark in a little one’s eye when something just clicks? That’s why you do what you do.
We’re working with a lovely nursery setting in Wakefield that’s on the lookout for a confident, creative, and nurturing Early Years Practitioner to join their team. If you’ve got your Level 3 qualification, a great big smile, and a knack for calming chaos, we’d love to hear from you.
Your role will include:
-
Supporting children aged 0–5 through learning, play, and daily routines
-
Delivering engaging activities that spark curiosity and build confidence
-
Promoting speech, language, and emotional development
-
Working closely with parents and carers to build strong, trusting relationships
-
Creating a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels seen and celebrated
What we’re looking for:
-
A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
-
Experience working in nurseries, preschools, or EYFS units
-
A warm, child-led approach to learning and care
-
Flexibility, team spirit, and a good sense of humour (essential for nappy duty!)
-
Thrive trained? Amazing! If not, we’ll help you get there
What’s great about this setting?
It’s welcoming, well-resourced, and absolutely puts children at the heart of everything. The leadership team is hands-on, and the staffroom snacks are top tier (according to our last placement).
