Support that makes a difference

We’re looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Skipton, working with pupils in Upper Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children at a key stage in their learning, helping them build confidence and prepare for the move to secondary school.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support in Year 5 and Year 6

  • Assisting with English, maths and wider curriculum learning

  • Helping pupils develop independence and positive learning habits

  • Supporting behaviour, routines and emotional wellbeing

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with children in KS2 (school-based or similar setting)

  • A calm, patient and encouraging approach

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills to support learning

  • Someone who enjoys celebrating the little wins and building pupils’ confidence
