Protocol Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the South Tyneside area to recruit two Learning Support Assistants to join their dedicated team.

The Role:
Under the guidance of the school’s SENDCo, you will provide in-class support to students, either within specific curriculum areas or working with designated year groups. You will assist with the preparation of resources, collaborate with teaching staff, and support the academic and emotional development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted support to students with and without Additional Needs

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining teaching resources

  • Collaborate with staff to implement effective learning strategies

  • Foster positive relationships with students to build confidence and independence

  • Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders

About You:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting

  • Ideally, experience supporting students with SEND/Additional Needs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach

  • Ability to work well within a team and independently

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
