Learning Support Assistant – Thrive Focus

Location: Bristol
Pay: £13.75–£14.50 per hour (PAYE)
Start: September 2025
Contract: Full-time or part-time

Are you someone who instinctively knows when a pupil needs a quiet moment, a pep talk, or just a bit of encouragement to keep going?

We’re working with schools across Bristol who want LSAs that do more than support learning, they help students feel ready to learn. That’s why we’re offering FREE Thrive training to every LSA we place.

Whether you’re already Thrive trained or just curious about how emotional wellbeing shapes the classroom, we’ll support you to become a trusted, consistent figure for pupils who need it most.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to nurture emotional regulation and resilience

  • Use Thrive-informed strategies to create safe, structured routines

  • Support teachers in making classrooms inclusive and calm

  • Provide a steady presence for pupils navigating anxiety, trauma, or transition

What we’re looking for:

  • Empathetic, proactive support staff

  • Some experience with vulnerable children (schools, care, youth work or similar)

  • Willingness to learn, grow, and reflect

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
