Learning Support Assistant – Secondary

Pay: £90–£110 per day

We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and inclusive secondary school in the east end of Newcastle. This is a school that lives and breathes its values—community, resilience, kindness, and ambition—and you’ll be right at the heart of it.
✨ What your days might look like

Supporting students with additional learning needs, one-to-one and in small groups

Encouraging positive behaviour and confidence across the school day

Working closely with class teachers, the SENDCo, and support teams to adapt resources and learning

Helping pupils transition successfully into secondary school life—especially Year 7 newcomers

Getting involved in enrichment activities like drama, sport, and reading clubs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
