Learning Support Assistant – Secondary

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £90–£110 per day

We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and inclusive secondary school in the east end of Newcastle. This is a school that lives and breathes its values—community, resilience, kindness, and ambition—and you’ll be right at the heart of it.

✨ What your days might look like

  • Supporting students with additional learning needs, one-to-one and in small groups

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and confidence across the school day

  • Working closely with class teachers, the SENDCo, and support teams to adapt resources and learning

  • Helping pupils transition successfully into secondary school life—especially Year 7 newcomers

  • Getting involved in enrichment activities like drama, sport, and reading clubs
