Teaching Assistant – Hexham Area
Northumberland | Full-Time, Term Time | £90–£110 per day | Secondary Setting

Looking to make a difference in a vibrant, forward-thinking secondary school nestled in the heart of Northumberland? Here’s your chance to be part of something brilliant.

We’re supporting a high-achieving school in the Hexham area—known for its inclusive ethos, student-led culture, and strong sense of community—in finding a Teaching Assistant who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. You’ll be joining a team that believes in the power of relationships, resilience, and responsibility, and values every voice in the classroom.

What the role involves:
✔️ Supporting individual learners or small groups—academic or pastoral
✔️ Assisting in lesson delivery and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom
✔️ Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to nurture student progress
✔️ Being a steady, encouraging presence throughout the school day

What we’re looking for:
A calm, kind presence who builds trust easily
Experience working with young people (school-based or otherwise)
A proactive approach and willingness to support across subjects
Bonus if you’ve got experience with SEN or 1:1 support

Why this school?
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Tyne Valley, this school champions character education as much as academic results. Expect motivated students, dedicated staff, and a welcoming community atmosphere. You’ll be working where values aren’t just on posters—they’re lived daily.
