Learning Support Assistant – Hexham

Location: Hexham, Northumberland
Pay: £90–£110 per day (paid weekly via PAYE)
Start: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only

This friendly and inclusive primary school is after a Learning Support Assistant who can offer calm, consistent support to pupils who need a little extra help. Whether it’s boosting confidence, helping with routines, or making learning click, you’ll be right there making a real difference.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs

  • Helping children stay engaged, on task, and feeling confident

  • Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher to tailor support

  • Being that reassuring presence when things feel overwhelming

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, etc.)

  • A nurturing, patient approach—and a great sense of humour!

  • Someone who believes every child deserves to shine

  • Bonus if you’re Thrive trained—or ready to train (we’ve got free access for you!)
