Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans
  • Help students with academic tasks and provide guidance on study skills
  • Support the classroom teacher in managing student behaviour
  • Monitor and record student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the needs of students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Ability to provide academic support and guidance
  • Good organisational skills
  • Patience and empathy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting
  • Regular hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for some additional hours or activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
