Love helping children thrive? You could be just who we’re looking for.

We’re on the hunt for a kind, patient, and proactive Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs (SEND) in welcoming Brentwood primary schools. Whether it’s 1:1 support or small group work, you’ll be making a big difference every single day.

If you’ve worked with children who need a little extra help—and you’ve got a calm, encouraging approach—this could be the perfect next step.

What you’ll be doing:

  • 1:1 or group support for pupils with a range of needs

  • Helping teachers deliver tailored learning that makes sense for each child

  • Using positive behaviour strategies to keep things calm and focused

  • Keeping an eye on progress and sharing updates with the team

  • Working closely with staff and families to support each child’s journey

  • Creating an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with experience working with SEND pupils

  • A natural relationship-builder who’s patient and full of empathy

  • Someone who understands different learning styles and adapts to them

  • A DBS (or happy to get one sorted)

  • The right to work in the UK

What you’ll get from us:

  • Free CPD-accredited training—including specialist SEND modules

  • Weekly PAYE pay (no umbrella faff)

  • A dedicated consultant who really gets to know you

  • Roles that suit your lifestyle—part-time or full-time options available

  • Access to a wide network of lovely Brentwood schools
