We’re looking for patient, caring, and confident Learning Support Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across Primary schools in Romford and nearby. This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to help children feel safe, supported, and ready to shine every single day.
Whether you’re calming the storm or helping a child find their voice, your work matters. Big time.
What you’ll be doing:

1:1 or small group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs (autism, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH, and more)

Helping pupils follow their learning plans and stay engaged in the classroom

Using positive behaviour strategies to de-escalate and build trust
-
Supporting teachers to deliver inclusive, creative lessons

Working with SENCOs, therapists, and families to create consistency and care
What we’re looking for:

Some experience supporting children with SEN (in school, youth work, or care)

Kindness, patience, and a sense of humour when things get tricky

Willingness to get stuck in and build brilliant relationships
-
A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
