Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Alternative Provision
Location: Greenwich
Start Date: September 2025

Some classrooms don’t follow the usual rules. Neither do you.

We’re on the hunt for a calm, confident Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving Alternative Provision, supporting secondary-aged pupils who’ve faced barriers in mainstream education.

This isn’t your average LSA role—it’s one where you make the difference. Every day. One student at a time.

The role:
Supporting learners with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs
Building trust and positive routines through consistent 1:1 and group support
Helping students re-engage with learning—on their terms
Working alongside a tight-knit team of teachers, mentors, and therapists
Using de-escalation and trauma-informed strategies to create safe, stable learning

What you’ll need:
✅ Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour or additional needs
✅ Strong boundaries, even stronger empathy
✅ The ability to stay calm under pressure—and find the humour where you can
✅ Confidence in building relationships that really stick

Bonus points if you’ve got:
Thrive training (or a willingness to complete it—free through us)
Experience in a PRU, AP, or SEMH setting

What’s in it for you?
Weekly PAYE pay—no hidden deductions
Free CPD, including Thrive, de-escalation, and more
myProtocol app to manage your bookings
Support from a consultant who knows APs inside out
Local placements with meaningful impact
