Job Title: Learning Mentor – SEND/SEMH Focus
Location: Telford & Shropshire
Salary: £90-95 per day (PAYE)

Some pupils just need that one person, the one who listens, understands, and helps them believe they can do more than just get through the day.
We're looking for a compassionate and resilient Learning Mentor to support students who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges. This role isn’t about ticking boxes, it’s about building trust, creating calm, and helping young people re-engage with learning on their terms.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs (autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety)
- Building positive relationships through 1:1 and small group mentoring
- Helping students manage behaviour and emotions in a supportive way
- Working with teachers, SENCOs and families to tailor strategies that actually work
You’ll be great for this role if you:
- Stay cool under pressure and know how to bring calm to tricky situations
- Have experience working with young people who find school tough
- Can set boundaries with warmth and consistency
- Want to do work that genuinely matters
What you’ll get from us:
- Weekly pay through PAYE – no umbrella companies
- Free access to our CPD Academy (including behaviour and trauma-informed courses)
- Dedicated consultant support and speedy placement
- Thrive training available – a brilliant addition to your toolkit
- Long-term roles in the right settings for your skills
This is your chance to support students in a meaningful way and be the person who helps them feel seen, heard, and supported.
