Learning Mentor – Dudley

Pay: £90–£95 per day (PAYE)

We are currently seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Dudley. This is a full-time role, starting immediately, and is ideal for someone who thrives on helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
As a Learning Mentor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour management, and academic engagement. The school is looking for someone who can build strong relationships, remain calm under pressure, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with social, emotional, or behavioural needs
- Help students re-engage with learning and develop positive routines
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to implement support strategies
- Support behaviour for learning across the school day
- Encourage resilience, self-confidence, and positive interactions
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity
- Ability to manage behaviour in a calm and confident manner
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, adaptable approach
- Thrive training is an advantage—if you’re not yet trained, we can support you in accessing it
