KS1 Teaching Assistant | Lambeth | Primary Schools

If you can turn phonics into fun and love a well-organised tray cupboard, we’ve got just the role for you!

We’re working with welcoming primary schools across Lambeth looking for brilliant KS1 Teaching Assistants to support children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Whether you’re helping with early reading or calming first-week nerves, your presence will make a big difference.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with lessons, routines, and behaviour

  • Running phonics, reading, and numeracy activities with small groups

  • Providing extra help for pupils who need a bit of a boost

  • Creating a warm, encouraging environment where young learners thrive

We’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children aged 4–7 (school, nursery, tutoring, or similar)

  • Confidence supporting phonics and early learning

  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a reliable, hands-on attitude

  • A team player who brings positivity to the classroom

A TA qualification is helpful—but experience and the right approach matter most.

DBS Reminder:
You’ll need an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Don’t have one yet? No worries—we’ll guide you through the process.
