About the Position

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and make a meaningful contribution to children's learning and development during a key stage of their education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver well-planned and engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress to ensure ongoing development for all learners

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Tailor teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities

  • Keep clear and accurate records of student performance and provide regular feedback to parents and school leaders

  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents to support a positive school culture

  • Actively participate in the broader life of the school, including meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or status as an Early Career Teacher (ECT)

  • Previous teaching experience in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6)

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 national curriculum

  • Effective classroom management and the ability to inspire and engage pupils

  • Commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • A genuine passion for fostering both academic and personal growth in children
