KS2 Teacher – Shropshire

 Shropshire |  Full-time |  September Start
 2-Form Entry |  Long-Term Role

Confident with key skills, passionate about upper primary, and ready to help children thrive? We’re working with a forward-thinking two-form entry primary school in Shropshire that’s looking for an enthusiastic KS2 teacher to join their team full-time from September.

Whether you’re shaping Year 3 minds or guiding Year 6 through SATs, this role offers the chance to make a real impact, with the support of a close-knit, collaborative staff team behind you.

What makes this school standout?

  • A genuine team spirit where ideas are shared and successes are celebrated
  • A strong curriculum focus - particularly in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking
  • Clear expectations, high standards, and a shared belief in every pupil’s potential
  • A calm, well-organised learning environment that lets you focus on teaching
  • A leadership team that truly values staff wellbeing and professional growth

Literacy & Numeracy Focus

There’s a strong emphasis on core skill mastery in this role. From scaffolding reading comprehension strategies to helping pupils grasp key mathematical concepts, your teaching will directly shape pupils’ success in and beyond the classroom.

For those teaching Year 6, there’s a real opportunity to guide pupils through SATs with confidence, embedding core knowledge, building exam resilience, and supporting revision in a calm, structured way.

You’ll have access to shared resources, collaborative planning, and targeted interventions to help every learner make meaningful progress.

Who they’re looking for:

  • A qualified KS2 teacher (QTS essential, ECTs encouraged to apply!)
  • Someone who can plan and deliver engaging lessons that stretch and support every learner
  • Confident in raising attainment in reading, writing, and maths
  • Skilled in managing classroom behaviour and building positive relationships
  • A reflective practitioner with a team-first attitude and love of learning

What’s on offer:

✅ Full-time teaching role starting this September
✅ Shared year group planning and curriculum support
✅ Scope to lead on subjects or school projects if desired
✅ Pupils who are respectful, enthusiastic, and keen to achieve
✅ Ongoing CPD and access to Protocol’s exclusive training, including free Thrive certification
