Got a thing for glaciers and a gift for guiding debate? This one’s for you.
We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Wakefield that’s looking for a talented Humanities Teacher to join their team this September. They’re ideally seeking someone with a Geography specialism, but there’s flexibility to welcome a strong History teacher too, thanks to a supportive department with plenty of give.

• Clear behaviour policies that let you focus on teaching
• Shared planning and engaging schemes of work
• A leadership team that values teacher wellbeing and growth
What you’ll be doing:
• Teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 (or History if that’s your jam)
• Supporting wider Humanities curriculum delivery as needed
• Creating inclusive, engaging lessons that spark curiosity
• Encouraging critical thinking, discussion, and global understanding
You’ll need:
• UK QTS or a recognised secondary teaching qualification
• Experience teaching either Geography or History at KS3 and KS4
• A confident, thoughtful teaching style and passion for your subject
