HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) – RM8 3EX
Location: Dagenham | Pay: £85–£120 per day | Start: ASAP | Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Are you a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to take the next step in your career? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Dagenham (RM8) is seeking a skilled HLTA to support teaching and learning across the school.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual who can lead small group interventions, cover classes when required, and work closely with teachers to raise attainment.
The Role:

Deliver planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in the teacher’s absence

Lead targeted group work and intervention sessions

Support teaching staff in the planning and preparation of lessons
-
Provide classroom and behaviour support tailored to pupils’ individual needs

Help track pupil progress and contribute to assessment discussions

Play an active role in the wider school community
Ideal Candidate:
-
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
-
Proven experience working in a UK primary school setting
-
Confident in delivering lessons and managing a classroom independently

Strong literacy and numeracy skills
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
A flexible, positive and resilient approach

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
