Are you a confident and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) ready to take the next step in your education career? About the HLTA Role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, running small group interventions, and supporting pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEN and EAL. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with teachers and help drive student progress across the curriculum.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the teacher across KS1, KS2, KS3, or KS4 (tailored to your experience)

  • Support pupils of mixed ability, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL)

  • Run targeted interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, and social development

  • Contribute to lesson planning and progress tracking in collaboration with teaching staff

  • Provide pastoral care and help manage classroom behaviour effectively


✅ Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • HLTA status (or equivalent recognised qualification)

  • Experience across primary or secondary phases (KS1–KS4, depending on the setting)

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-based approach

  • Proven ability to manage behaviour and motivate learners

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil progress
