About the HLTA Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, running small group interventions, and supporting pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEN and EAL. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with teachers and help drive student progress across the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the teacher across KS1, KS2, KS3, or KS4 (tailored to your experience)

Support pupils of mixed ability, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Run targeted interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, and social development

Contribute to lesson planning and progress tracking in collaboration with teaching staff

Provide pastoral care and help manage classroom behaviour effectively
✅ Ideal Candidate Will Have:

HLTA status (or equivalent recognised qualification)

Experience across primary or secondary phases (KS1–KS4, depending on the setting)

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-based approach

Proven ability to manage behaviour and motivate learners

A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil progress
